Schedules are \u201c<em>Spreadsheets<\/em>\u201dthat are connected to your model. If you modify an element in the model, it will be updated in the schedule and vice-versa so there is always link between the model and schedule table. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Launch Revit and open your project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Creating a new Schedule<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>View Tab -> Create Panel -> Schedules drop-down -> Schedules\/Quantities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/usamcadsoft.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/001-Schedule.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-110\" width=\"482\" height=\"117\" srcset=\"https:\/\/usamcadsoft.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/001-Schedule.png 482w, https:\/\/usamcadsoft.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/001-Schedule-300x73.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 482px) 100vw, 482px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Note:<\/strong>  Right click on the schedules in project browser and click New Schedules\/Quantities option to create schedules <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the \u201c<em>New Schedule<\/em>\u201d dialogue box Select Doors from the Category list. (You can select any category for which you want to create Schedules. Here I am going to create Schedules for the door in my project).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Specify the name as \u201c<em>Door Schedule<\/em>\u201d and select \u201c<em>Schedule building Components<\/em>\u201d and define the phase at which the doors are created <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/usamcadsoft.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/002-New-schedule.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-111\" width=\"427\" height=\"361\" srcset=\"https:\/\/usamcadsoft.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/002-New-schedule.png 427w, https:\/\/usamcadsoft.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/002-New-schedule-300x254.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 427px) 100vw, 427px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Adding fields to Schedule<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To add the Fields in our Schedule select the desired fields below the available fields and click the add button. I\u2019m adding the following fields to my Schedule table.<ul><li>Family and Type<\/li><li>Level<\/li><li>Height<\/li><li>Width<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Cost<\/li><li>We can rearrange the fields by any order that we want it to be displayed.<\/li><li>We can add \u201c<em>New Parameter<\/em>\u201d to the category and also we can \u201c<em>Combine Parameters<\/em>\u201d.<\/li><li>In addition we can also create <em>\u201cCustom Formulas\u201d<\/em> to create new field and display that in our schedule.<\/li><li>Click \u201c<em>OK<\/em>\u201d to create Schedules.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/usamcadsoft.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/003-Schedule-Properties.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-112\" width=\"418\" height=\"345\" srcset=\"https:\/\/usamcadsoft.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/003-Schedule-Properties.png 557w, https:\/\/usamcadsoft.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/003-Schedule-Properties-300x248.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 418px) 100vw, 418px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Modify Schedule<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A new spreadsheet will be created in the name of \u201c<em>Door Schedule<\/em>\u201d which we specified earlier. As the Schedule is in the form of Spreadsheet. Most of the times we prefer grouping the elements of same type. For this we use \u201c<em>Sorting and Grouping<\/em>\u201d we can do this before and after the creation of schedules. In the \u201c<em>Schedule<\/em> <em>Properties<\/em>\u201d dialog box uncheck the \u201c<em>Itemize every instance<\/em>\u201d option.
